Care

100% ECUADORIAN TOQUILLA PALM PANAMA
Hand woven from the pliable leaves of the Toquilla Palm by skilled artisans. Each piece can take up to one week to complete. All hats feature a stamp of authenticity signifying they are created in certified workshops in Ecuador and are blocked and finished to Helen Kaminski specifications. The turned and stitched edge finish ensures symmetrical brim length. Fedora styles, ‘Lei’ and ‘Cassa’ have hand applied silicone in the pinch points of the crown and crown tip for added strength and resilience to maintain the blocked shape. However, in order to keep Panama Fine Weave in the best shape, we recommend always handling from the brim, to avoid putting stress on the ‘pinch points’ in the crown.
Due to the natural properties of the palm fiber and hand weaving method, variations in weave and colour can be expected as part of the uniqueness of each hat.
